Top 10 Cutest Blogs I’ve Ever Seen

So I realized I haven’t made a list post in quite sometime, and was inspired by all the pretty blogs I’ve visited these last few weeks. Mind you, most of these will be book blogs, since that’s the particular niche I’ve been digging into for a while now. So without further ado, let me begin! These are all the pretty and cute blogs I’ve seen in the last few weeks (in no particular order).

1. Xpresso Reads

This blog was one of the first book blogs I came across. I love the animation and the font of the navigation menu, and my favourite part of this blog is probably that slider which highlights all their recent reviews up there at the top.

2. Book Briefs

Book Briefs is absolutely beautiful. I have found it to be elegant, chic, and modern at the same time. My favourite part of this blog, I have to say, is it’s header and font. That swirly effect is very classy, and I am a huge fan of the blue circles up there.

3. The Cutest Blog On The Block

TCBOTB is essential to the blogging world – they provide free templates, headers, and a ton of other blogging design related freebies, so it’s kind of obvious that they would make this list. I love the color tones in this blog, and the way it’s all girly but smart at the same time.

4. YA Book Queen

Again, I love the animated picture at the top. The blue is a favourite of mine, and the font is again elegant and formal on this blog.

5. Blog Guide Book

This blog’s minimalistic approach is amazing. I love how the light blue blends with the white and it gives a very chic look and feel to the entire website. The branch is another favourite I harbor.

6. Thrifty Decor Chick

I love the graphic design at the left end of the header on this blog. It’s floral pattern in very pretty. And again, the font! God, am I a sucker for pretty fonts.

7. Symphony Of Words

Ok, so this is a little biased. OK, a LOT biased. This is my book blog, Symphony of Words, and probably isn’t even that gorgeous. But what can I say? It’s. It’s my baby.

8. The Broke & The Bookish

I love the color tones of this blog. The orange title and it’s font is very elegant and smart, and the way the header is shaped at the top – like something from Aladdin – is honestly the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen.

9. Her Book Self

Enough with minimalistic – this baby is packed with features, from the overly informal header – it may look a little cluttered, but I like it – to the look of paper and bindings at the border of the main body of the blog.

10. Anna Reads

THIS BLOG. It has a special place in my heart. This blog is what inspired me to start blogging in the first place. I’m a huge fan of that book at the top right, and the color combination of green and grey. The background is absolutely lovely and the font, though very simple, never ceases to take my breath away. Ok, I’m using too many hyperboles now. But truly, this blog is definitely on the of the prettiest.

Top Ten Tuesday

So I’ve officially launched my YOUNG ADULT BOOK BLOG, SYMPHONY OF WORDS. AND, I have today done, my first ever meme. YESSSS.

It’s called Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the Broke & The Bookish. The topic for today was:

You can view it (let me rephrase: you ARE ORDERED to view it) and please let me know what you thought!

Wonderous Lot To Be Said About CBSE

So there is a wondrous lot to be said about the Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE].

DISCLAIMER: I mean no harm, physical or otherwise to the obviously dedicated staff of CBSE, or those who very blindly love them and follow them. I come in peace, and shall do so without violence, because I value Gandhian secularism.

Now that that’s out of the way, I need to get it off my chest – I have a lot to say about how horrible, horrible, horrible, I find CBSE. This could be for a variety of reasons.

a) They have introduced, along with a 200 page literary companion and a BBC Compacta, an unabridged version of The Story of My Life, by Helen Keller, which is frankly far too much, coupled with the formats needed to be learnt for letter writing, reports, essays, dialogue, description, process, notice, message, email, and various other means of communication that hardly anyone uses in the twenty-first century. To 15 year olds. Nice.

b) The all new PSA (Problem Solving Assessment) was introduced for the first time in the history of this syllabus when our finals were only a month away, and that accounts for a hefty percentage of our GPA.

c) Every task that the teachers have us do, CBSE wants proof that the student has performed and deserved the marks given to them by their teacher. This is completely okay for papers and written tasks, but when it comes to speaking skills, and acting out prose, they want full videos recording each and everything the student does and says.

I’m not sure if this is a practice in other boards or something, but I find it extremely annoying, especially when it’s us students who have to get our own cameras and record our videos and then file them away in a USB and provide our teacher with everything ready made, when we obviously have better things to focus on.

d) This teeny bit I personally dislike because I hate math in general, so it may not be the board that’s got the problem – maybe this is the way math is in every other curriculum or syllabi.

The prescribed textbooks that we have contain sums that we can easily do, but then there are guides that contain much harder stuff, and their concepts are completely different and there are a few extra formulae to learn which aren’t provided in the official textbook.

I know, yawn.

Thus, I conclude by saying that CBSE is not my cup of tea for various reasons. There are many more, but I’d rather not bore you to death by delving into them.

All I can say is that I’m glad I’m taking IB Diploma Programme my junior year.

7 MORE Coolest Bedrooms I’ve Ever Seen

Now that chemistry has officially been taken care of, I’d like to show you guys all those other really cool rooms I was talking about!

#1: AGAIN, WATERWORKS: Maybe this a new trend or something? I’m not quite understanding how anyone can sleep comfortably on that bed at all. I mean, one small trip and they could go BASH! However, let’s all join hands and give the designer props for having come up with something as unusual as this!

#2: CUTEST KID BEDROOM EVER: Something that would have the kids all riled up!

#3 There seems to be a theme here. Another adorable bedroom you’d really want to claim is YOURS, no matter what your age is, (or is it just me?)

#4: Classical RETRO: because that’s exactly what this is. I personally LOVE the curved ceiling and the way it’s framing that settee and picture, so GO RETRO.

#5: THE TITANIC? Or maybe it’s some other completely different ship and won’t sink at all. But again, one that really stands out. Yay!

#6: ELEGANT AND CLASSY: I like this one a lot, and though I don’t think I’ll be using any designs from it, there’s no telling what inspiration it may have given my subconscious, which likes to come to play at night.

#7: EGG BED: Because someone wasn’t happy being a human. Hey, we all have our things. Look at that kid – he’s as cute as the next guy. Doesn’t matter if his choice is a little whacked up or highly unusual but totally original.

You’ll notice I have 7 entries this time – mainly because Chemistry is over. Again, if there’s anything you’d like to say, peek at that box below (God, I sound desperate), so yeah, glad you enjoyed it or whatever! Peace!

Coolest bathroom sinks

So again, I was looking into the different types of sinks I could use, and came across these extremely pretty ones that I had to show to someone.

#1 COLOR SPLASH: Never looked better.

Quite colorful. For a cheery room, not suicidal people, please.

#2 Color Change: it’s supposedly like a chameleon, then. Still cool, though.

This one is apparently supposed to change color!

#3: The Fish Sink: Oh, well. It’s pretty.

I fear the fate of these fish

#4: This is MINE. Its gorgeous to the point of obsession. Oh, it’s called Ripple something.

Dibs on this one for my bathroom!

#5: ANTIQUE: It pretty too, and kind of cool, since the whole faucet design has been reinvented.

Michelle Boyce Deviant Art, supposedly. Someone should check this out.

#6: The Bar Sink:What more can I say? It’s COOL.

Pretty……Don’t get hypnotised

#7: Blue Pebble: This one is also one of my personal favorites. It looks chic and modern, and has a beautiful lighting.

Those pebbles are beautiful

#8: FUTURE SINK: Because that’s exactly what it looks like. The small ball in between makes it look all the more intriguing.

This has surely come from the future

Okay, guys. What do you think would make up for a cool sink? If you’ve seen something great that I haven’t, be sure to let me know!

5 Coolest Bedroom I’ve Ever Seen

So with my bedroom being reconstructed and all, I was just going through some pictures on what I would want it to look like, and I came across these REALLY FUNKY, REALLY COOL, REALLY UNUSUAL bedrooms that I just had to share with the world.

And here they are:

#1 WATERWORKS: Now, I have no idea how to swim, much less float on water. And that is why, for me, this is one of those REALLY UNUSUAL bedrooms – what if the person sleepwalks? I’d hate for them to get up and find themselves all wet. 😛 But you’ve gotta admit, it’s kind of awesome.

I wouldn’t want to fall into the water in my sleep….

#2 Here it is: The Batman Abode – another cool bedroom which I think will make my cousin brothers very happy.

Where the bat comes to life….or goes to sleep.

#3: This is one of the most breathtaking rooms I’ve ever seen, and the lights and wallpaper are a sure thing to be there in my new room if I have anything to say about it (which I totally do).

Stop Ogling

#4: A nice, clean, contemporary bedroom with that round bed most of us go lusting after. It’s a keeper.

Wait a minute…What if it rains? Isn’t the roof open? :O

#5: CABINET BED: This is one of the most unusual yet cool bedroom I’ve ever seen. I mean, just look at it. Perfect for rooms with a small space, and it just oozes comfort, all secluded and stuff, hanging up there away from the couches and other stuff in the room. The white walls add a chic touch to it and the marble flooring is beautiful, although a little more furniture would make it look like someone actually lived here. I’m definitely going to try this out with something.

That little T.V. is just too cute!

I’m going to add more, but right now, Chemistry is calling me (go die somewhere, dammit. Leave me alone.) Thanks for reading, or maybe you just looked at the pictures, but whatever.

However, I have come across a few more bedrooms that seem just right for my style – not Lady GaGa unusual or very simplistic. If you have any ideas on how I can maker my room, please leave them below! Oh, and don’t forget to hit the like!
